Eleni Verikaki graduated from the Dental School of Athens University in 1998 and she worked in private practice limited to paediatric dentistry for the two years following her graduation.

In 2000, Eleni completed, with merit, her MSc in Paediatric Dentistry at Leeds Dental Institute and won prizes for her research project on the cariogenicity of different types of chocolates. In the same year she became a Fellow of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Canada (Paediatric Dentistry).

Since her registration with the General Dental Council as a specialist in paediatric dentistry she has solely devoted her time to treating paediatric patients both within the community and private settings.

She currently works as a specialist paediatric dentist for the Community Dental Service where she exclusively provides dental care to children requiring advanced and complicated treatment, including those with complex medical history and those requiring treatment under sedation.

Eleni also worked as a Specialist Clinical Lecturer at the Department of Paediatric Dentistry at Kings and Guys Institute where she taught paediatric dentistry to 4th and 5th year dental students.

Eleni Verikaki is an active member of the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry, the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry and the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry.

Eleni is extremely passionate about her work as a paediatric dentist, acknowledging and knowing that traumatic dental experiences during the early years of a person’s life can influence and establish negative behaviours towards dentistry in general.

Eleni implements during her practice all those behaviour management techniques and methods to ensure that her little patients have treatment in a relaxed and positive way.

When Eleni is not practicing dentistry she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two boys and she loves reading, walking, travelling and cooking.
